These trees are prized for their nutritional, cosmetic, and medicinal properties. A species from the Tertiary age, the argan tree is extremely well adapted to the drought and other harsh ecological conditions of southern Morocco, and although it is now threatened, it is protected by UNESCO. you can discover the old medina for a few hours, walking through the streets with their unique atmosphere. You can discover Portuguese, French and Berber architecture. The whitewashed houses, the cool breeze, the relaxed atmosphere as well as the cafes, the many artisans and the delicious fresh fish. Then, have lunch in the medina. You will have free time to explore and stroll at your leisure along the medina and the beach

Departing from Marrakech, enjoy an unforgettable two and a half hour journey through argan crops and breathtaking arid landscapes. You will come across families of goats perched on the argan trees. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit a women’s cooperative producing Argan oil.
Then set off to explore the fishing port of Essaouira. Cross the old medina with its Souks and its traditional market. You will discover art galleries and authentic carpentry workshops, cedar marquetry and the art of basketry.
Similarly, explore the ramparts and gates of Essaouira, as well as its Borj and military buildings, including the sqala of the kasbah and the sqala of the port: the two main fortifications of the city.
For lovers of windsurfing or Kit surfing, Essaouira’s climatic particularity and its geographical position have made it a strong point for practicing these two sports.
Do not miss, above all, admiring a Souiri tajine or a superb fish dish (Essaouira specialty) in a restaurant by the sea, before returning to Marrakech.
